DS7 suddenly a lot of faulty codes

Unread post by sirev86 »

Hi all,

A few days ago I drove over a small curb with the rear right wheel of my car (DS7 E-Tense), and whether it's a coincidence or not, a "Christmas tree" of warning lights appeared on the dashboard. At first, I thought the batteries were dead and I even replaced them, but the errors didn't go away. I'm attaching the codes from the diagnostic tool — maybe someone has come across something similar?

Btw, the car drives okay, in all modes..

--------
Built-in System Interface (BSI):

B1807: Fault with the unlocking of the immobilizer by the Hybrid Management ECU

B120A: Collision risk alert function fault (intermittent)

B120D: Automatic braking on risk of collision function fault (intermittent)

B1003: Configuration fault (warning: may be a phantom fault)

Engine System:

U1213: Communication with the ABS/ESP ECU — data received invalid (permanent)

Gearbox:

U0415: Fault in communication on the CAN with the ESP ECU (permanent)

Vehicle Distance Assistance:

B12A8: Emergency collision braking function data read by the ESP ECU (permanent)

U1213: Info transmitted by the ESP ECU (permanent)

Electric Power Steering:

U1213: Fault in communication between power steering ECU and ABS/ESP ECU (permanent)

Multifunction Camera:

U1208: Communication with the engine management ECU (intermittent)

U1213: Communication with the ESP ECU (permanent)

VIN: VR1**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Thanks in advance.

Something odd going on there - lots of faults about no coms with the ABS, but your scan tool is reporting no codes....? You might need a different scanner to see what is going on in the ABS ECU, possibly damage to the sensor or wheel bearing that means it has lost its signal.

Thanks for the answer. Regarding the wheel bearing — the errors also show up when the car is stationary and can't be cleared. I'm thinking that if a wheel bearing were the issue, the errors could probably be cleared while the car is not moving and would only reappear once the car is in motion.

Welcome to Ds7 world ox Christmas tree lights))) Try to read and clear what is possible using diagbox. Some of those mobile scanners are not working properly. Did you properly reinstall baterry? This small one in the boot as well?

Both batteries were installed at an authorized car service, and I'm not getting any low voltage error on the tester either. As per a DS dealer, any error that could have been caused by the battery, they should have been gone when the voltage of the battery is back to normal values..

Probably don't matter, but when I ordered the two batteries, I chose those that came as alternative (approved by DS), so I assume this shouldn't be a problem.

Hmm, that is a strange one. Did you manage to check with Diagbox?

Yeah, it looks like is something wrong with Right rear wheel speed sensor signal (rough translation from Romanian) .. the same wheel I drove over a small curb. While the car is stationary, the error can be deleted and once you remove it, all other errors are automatically cleared. They reappear once you start driving, after few meters..

It might be an easy fix then.

Here’s an update: it seems that the magnetic ring of the wheel bearing has broken (or something else,I don't know yet), with metal fragments falling to the ground when the sensor was removed. The tip of the sensor was also damaged.. so I will be ordering the broken parts and keep you updated.
