Not a Nissan Skyline or any other model of Nissan
Quite a few similar looking things

Not Toyota, or Mitsubishi, Nissan....not many more usual suspects to try! :-D

Thought you would have the inside line on that one Mick. Never heard of the MX6 before but quite an elegant looking car. In finding out a bit about it stumbled across an old "Piston Heads" thread where one appeared on "Shed of the Week" some time ago. The assembled wisdom on there was of mixed opinion some absolutely loved it, others couldnt get past it being front wheel drive and being basically the same car as a Ford Probe, and ludicrously nothaving enough bhp for them.

Perhaps they were wanting it to be a car it never was.

Very elegant profile in my book, and up for sale at a £2,000 to £2,500 guide price at Anglia Car Auctions June Sale

I nearly bought one when I was still rebuilding cars for fun, but we couldn't agree a price so it didn't happen. The bodywork didn't click but as soon as I saw what I remember describing as the 'cavity' in front of the passenger seat it clicked!! :-D

Thought Austin Champ in some incarnation as something not quite as obvious, but then looked up what it looked like at first glance, a military (Willys) Jeep written up with the 9th Airborne Cavalry Division wording.

Thanks for the PM Neil which contains an exemplary explanation of the cryptic clue which I'll leave it to you to explain fully on here should you so wish. The clue took you to an example of one of the cars I thought it was when I first saw it, but sadly it is not the right car at all!! It is now break time so clue number 2 as promised:
No 2!!
No 2!!
