I wouldn't say this list is either comprehensive or up to date. There are 3 I know of in Northumberland which it misses out entirely. Most Councils with a decent sized fleet will have a MOT Testing Facility. The previous link in the first post of the thread no longer exists. Just an example.

A simple and obvious contribution from me which may help people in the Hertfordshire area. I have been using this company for many years, they used to be near Codicote when I was living in Leagrave and driving past it to visit friends in Wheathamstead. So I gave it a try and was very happy with them as I have been ever since. No need to book, just turn up and join the queue although booking is available if you need to prove a booking. A few years ago they relocated to their current purpose built premises, which you will see on the website, and now they have two lines going through simultaneously. Decent chaps and good service. They will do simple things like adjust a headlamp or replace a bulb free of charge apart from the bulb cost, to save a retest. I thoroughly recommend them: :-D

While the thread may benefit from a few other recommendations as per Mick's for those looking for a MOT only service, there is nothing like a bit of trivia. Don't fret..its in the spoiler, but it relates to one of the Aberdeen City Council's MOT stations.
Aberdeen City Council
Kittybrewster Depot, Powis Terrace, Kittybrewster, Aberdeen 01224 489324 / 01224 489413

No its not the Powis bit that attracted my trivia sensors. You see there is a place called "Kitty Brewster" in Blyth Northumberland, are they linked :?:

The trivia chapter and verse is here
