Make your own mind up here we have Fifth Gear with an awful "team-test" featuring the said Vicky Butler.

I'm thinking about a new entirely organic form of transport to avoid these fuel costs, just need to find two Shetland ponies and a cart!! :-D

Looking at the Ami I think it would be ideal for some of the old biddies as an alternative to those buggies they drive on the footpath.

Hmm, did they choose a woman driver for a reason? I'm not saying they can't reverse park but......a little guidance from the rear passengers might be helpful

The fifth gear "Team Test" video is an absolutely awful "test" in every aspect of how it was put together of a genuine Citroen Ami. All the presenters were equally awful.

The second video is an example of a copy of the Citroen Ami from China with an innocuous mostly uninformative little look round. but a very close looking copy.

That's the intended point of the videos and the thread, information relevant to the Citroen Ami. I dont see any importance at all in who is driving the Ami/ or the Chinese Copy, or in their competence or lack of it.

I think I will leave the hubnut video up as a decent run through of the Citroen Ami. Another thread when it was Initially proposed I described it as the Citroen Marmite ( viewtopic.php?p=637807#p637807) some love it some don't, one will not change the opinion of the other.

As I always say make your own mind up.

Ian's reviews are so much more watchable and sensible than the vast majority. None of the handwaving or shouting that makes most reviews unwatchable.

I very much doubt that I would want an Ami though.

I think all presenters should be required to sit on their hands whilst presenting. :-D

I can see the need for an internal shade of some sort for the sunroof (maybe a tint would do?) equally a sun visor (or a tint strip) and a suckered on rear view mirror would be a nice accessory ?

Looking forward to my invite for a test drive (how far will I have to travel ?) and I would really like to try it out on my local bumpy pothole littered roads but that's probably not going to be an option - my wifes' regular commute to work is 1.5 miles (each way) is the aim so I could probably charge it every 3 weeks and be done with the Xantia and just hire a car for the annual pilgrimage home ? Still to be convinced though at the price .....

From Marc's post on another thread relevant here and a good entertaining watch, and other vids to find from the same stable about their experiences with the Ami in the South of France.

Also, I've never seen a dealership quite like this - looks as though it's inside a multi-storey car park on multiple levels. Space must be at a premium on the French Riviera!

That was hard work!
Watched in snippets of a couple of minutes at a time has taken all day.

Found it quite tiresome.
