Paypal donation issue with membership upgrade

When a member makes a Paypal donation, their membership status is updated (green user name) and they get access to the restricted Resources forum. This normally happens automatically, thanks to some clever software which links the Paypal notification to our forum database.

Unfortunately Paypal changed something a couple of weeks ago, and the automatic upgrade is not always working (it only works if your Paypal email address matches your forum email address). We don't know when this will be fixed by the forum extension author, or by Paypal.

Until the issue is resolved, our site admins will manually upgrade membership of affected donors. If you make a donation and your status has not been upgraded within 24 hours, please reply here, or use the Contact form at the bottom of the page and we will look after it. We will only respond individually if we require more information from you.

I am pleased to say that this problem is now fixed by a speedy response by the software developer.
