Not a rarity but I think my moth was a Feathered Thorn. I think even on my pic you can make out the "feathered" antennae.

Good site this for UK Butterfly and Moth ID

Sometimes when you free up your hands by holding the camera under your chin, and put the shutter on a 10-second delay, the image turns out exactly as you intend.

Ten minutes after I posted the 'sun's out' picture it was back to black and heavy downpours which continued all day. :(

I mentioned on the Whatsthisthen thread that I went for a Sunday roast yesterday but I didn't say that I had been disappointed! I chose the pork with apple sauce but after being served I was told they had run out of crackling which I had requested!! So in order to make up for it I popped out for a quiet lunch to have some contemplative time, resulting in my post on the first day thread, and enjoyed the nearest thing I could find!! :-D

No it hasn't. It takes a bit of time to answer all the questions but it is a very thin wedge that will come back and affect us all if we don't do something now.
