It's another money grab from the motorist by the London mayor.
When we returned from Egypt in 1955 our trucks were brought into Barry Docks we collected them and made our way to South Benfleet, the North Circular was part of the route. No motorways then.

Here's one for your ornithology club - it's a Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo. They are a gentle giant of a bird - not sure what it was doing in our orchard, but they love to tear away bark and even sap wood off trees to get at grubs inside.

Quite liked how this snap from this afternoon came out. I always enjoy photos where you really can't tell what year they were taken in.
