Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data

Post by quintet »

Hi, could i put in another request for some part numbers please, each weekend i seem to discover my car needs more stuff fixing! Rather than making separate requests i figured it would be better to ask for all that i currently need info on in one go although the jobs will only be done when time and money are available......so some point next year at this rate!

osf antiroll bar link. There seems to be a couple of different types, or at least superseded versions and an ebay search throws up different types which apparently all fit.
osf lower suspension arm/hub ball joint
front brake discs
front brake pads
rear brake discs
rear brake pads
rear shock absorbers
rear silencer exhaust mounting
and if possible the type of battery, ie 027, 068?... obviously i can get a battery quite easily so i don't really need apart number but my car came with the wrong one on it so i don't know what it should have.

vehicle details VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
rp number 10334 89

If you can get all these part numbers i'd be very grateful but i get that there's a lot and so the antiroll bar link, lower ball joint and the battery are the priority, chances are the rest of the work will be done next year anyway.

Thank you for all this marc, sorry it was such a long list! unfortunately what i wrote was misleading as well! rather than stating "hub" in my previous message i should have just said ball joint #-o and i ought to have remembered there can be different brands of brake components...and guess what, my car has Lucas  but having said that looking at the prices for dealer budget parts they are just as cheap as they are on line, i know the quality won't be up to much but this car needs so much work i need to spread the costs out. As for the battery my xantia has a 540 ah battery on it so if that gets scrapped then i'll use that if it fits ok.

Once again, thank you for getting all this information for me, it's very much appreciated =D>

No worries, here you go:

Steering Ball Joint
Quin Steering Ball Joint.PNG
Item (5) OEM: 381750 £50.11 each
Cheaper: 1607316180 £10.90 each

Lucas Rear Brakes
Quin Lucas Brakes.PNG
Rear Discs
OEM: 424934 (DIAM 249 EP 9) each £131.94
Cheaper: 1619237880 each £92.86

Pads
OEM: 425467 £72.18
Cheaper: 1617250480 £20.10

These are all Peugeot original parts for OEM items and the Peugeot approved cheaper parts. If you find the prices for the cheaper parts are comparable to other aftermarket offerings, I would stick with the Peugeot cheaper parts as they at least have the guarantee of being up to the same standards - and personally speaking I would avoid anything from ECP.

Hi Marc,

Any chance I can get a part number please for the fuse box/battery state of charge unit that sits on top of the battery as I have been told it is corroded?

Thanks Marc.

Do you also have a part number for the fuse box that sits on top of the battery? It's called a battery control module fuse box or something along those lines.

Thanks again.

Do you mean the actual engine fuse box?
508 fuse box.PNG

But bear in mind the engine fuse box needs configuring to the vehicle on this model if being replaced!

Item (1) is the engine Fuse box, part: 9810719480 £333.24 inc. VAT

That's not the same thing. The part in your link is a protection and management unit and is not the correct part number for your vehicle.
508 Protection Unit.PNG
9665878080 item (1) is the correct part number if this is what you are after. These are very specific, so you need the correct one.

Re: Important Information concerning access to PSA parts data

I'm just going off what the family member was told by the Citroen dealer, which was corrosion in the fuse box on the battery. I'm guessing people refer to it as different things.

It's within this unit that we replaced a corroded ABS fuse and then the ABS started working again, so the fact they are saying it's corroded makes sense. I will ask them to clarify.

Thanks for your help.

Ok, so I'm not too worried about that - it's just that what you linked to is different to my post prior to the one above. They are completely different things.

One is the engine fuse box itself - and the other is the supplies and protection management unit - they're not the same thing, so just wanted to clarify that with you before you go buying something that may not be correct.
