C5 X7 DW10BTED4 Crankshaft Position Sensor (Engine Speed Sensor) Replacement

Post by GiveMeABreak » 20 Jan 2020, 13:13

Typically Fault Codes P0337 & P0338 will indicate that the Crankshaft Position Sensor is reporting too few or too many teeth being detected. This generally indicates the sensor is faulty and can cause engine jerking and general running problems.

The Engine ECU, Suspension, ABS / ESP, Cruise control and Auto gearboxes are just some of the systems that can be affected as a result.

Item (4) is the Crankshaft Position Sensor
