Just to mention, tried to buy a half leather, unheated, base a few weeks back and my local citroen dealer said these parts are no longer available. Full leather/heated I suspect will be the same.
Could this mean that, X7, OEM parts are starting to get scarce.

Sadly it looks like some parts are going that way and the seats are the more bulky items to store so so I suspect they will be the first to go.

Got this in a 2015 127,000 km C5 which is still under new car warranty. One seat is looking like being A$10,000 odd! I thought both seats were not working, but I'm not sure what their verdict is or how it's going to be handled particularly if parts aren't available. Boy, for that kind of money you'd think they could have them custom rebuilt.

Australia's climate ranges from tropical to pretty much the same as the UK (in Tasmania) - and there's the snow fields on the mainland.

We rarely see any programmes depicting snow over there!

If both seats have gone at the same time check the fuses first (see previous posts in this thread) or check that the connectors under the seat are secure.

Looks like I'm getting the seats fixed under warranty and the rear camera (condensation) and door speaker. Not the front strut leak though as they consider that 'wear & tear'.

Yes, if it was a suspension pipe the would probably cover it, (happened to me) under warranty, but not the strut itself.

That’ll cost them a bob or two with the seats! The heated pads are glued I think, so maybe new seats?

Hopefully, as the drivers is a bit tired. I wonder where they'll get them from though given what someone said above about them not being available. At $10,000 a pop they could custom make them just for my body. I couldn't get it comfortable for me - which is the whole point of the car (for me). I'll see if they can let me have the old ones so I have back ups I can operate on if it happens again out of warranty.

Got a strut coming from eBay UK for A$363 (£200 as we pay 10% GST when they come in). Hey, do you know if replacement struts come with new pipe & sphere seals? I wouldn't think so. If not do you know where to get them? I found a 3 pack of the sphere seals (called square seals) from Greece for £60!

Would you be replacing the sphere too (127,000km 2015 car)? Australia is pretty easy on cars. We don't have the corrosion issues you have in the UK - though that wouldn't be the issue for a sphere. More just the km's. £105 delivered for my car!

I’m still in my original spheres from 2009! So have no need to replace those as they are fine.

I’ll check on those seals but I think they are separate. I had my dealer fit only, so can’t tell you if they ordered them in. 527215 is the part for the sphere seal and is £5.92 inc our VAT at 20% over here.

I'm still on my spheres too, from 2003.
Amazed that they have survived that long.
Looks like I need a rear ram though, decided to leak recently.

Sorry to hear that Steve - better get in there quick though, now they've stopped all strut spares from the dealers for the MK I and MK II. I suspect these will start to become scarce as they are snapped up 'just in case'!

I'm dithering over replacing the car or fixing it. Needs a steering rack too.

Not sure where I got the idea my seats were costing A$10000, but apparently they'll be A$6000-ish for both. New seats which is good.
