Jacking up Berlingo.

Post by numnuts »

Hi all. I need to use a trolley jack to lift my Berlingo high enough to get two axle stands under the front. Can anyone advise me of the best point to use the trolley jack and also to place the stands. Should I just place the stands beneath the official jacking points? As ever, all advice appreciated. Thanks.

Can't advise on jacking points but it may be worth investing in some of these:
Jack Puck
Jack Puck
Give a little extra height and help protect the sills.
I snagged a pair for about a fiver, watch what you pay, one firm (SGS IIRC) wanted £500 each for them. Hopefully a pricing error.

Just use the standard jacking points. I did for my seven years of Berlingo ownership..

Thanks Michel. My main question is where to place the trolley jack in order to leave the standard jacking points free, in order to be able to place the axle stands in position there, without the trolley being in the way.

Ah, no, I meant that I used the jacking points to lift the car up, then put my stands under the chassis - usually at the rear point of the wishbones or the subframe around there.
