Part numbers for shocks/springs - C4 Picasso MK2
Hello,
I'm looking at replacing my shocks and springs on my C4 Picasso (Space Tourer) MK2 (B78) but I want to make sure I get the right compatible parts.
I've been looking at Bilstein B4 shock but I'm not sure what springs, if anyone can recommend any, or are they are pretty much all fine.
Also, I've not checked the rear springs (because it's constantly raining heavily) but I'm not sure if they're springs or air suspension.
I'm also looking to replace the front drop links and anti roll bar bushes, if someone is able to tell me the part numbers for those too, or link me to equivalent parts?
My VIN is
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Thanks

Re: Part numbers for shocks/springs - C4 Picasso MK2
Do you know if my car has anti-roll bar bushes?
I feel that there is a slight bump (not a knock) when I go over speed bumps.
If there is a speed bump on a bend, I don't feel like I have control, like the car bounces sideways slightly.
I had this in a previous car and changing the anti roll bar bushes sorted it

You have drop links and these have bushes - but you need to replace the drop links - it's not feasible to replace the bushes on these realistically. They're not really designed so be used forever.
Item 2:
Drop links: 9831547080 £34.70 each inc. VATn
Nut and Base (always replace): 9817224280 1.72 inc. VAT
Above current prices form Ciitroen

Re: Part numbers for shocks/springs - C4 Picasso MK2
Thanks.
In the picture you've added - number one is the anti-roll bar.
It has 2 securing bolts (shown either side on the number 1).
Inside these are usually circular rubber bushes. It's those that I'm referring too.
I'll be changing the drop links with the rest of the shocks/springs, but I also wanted to change the anti-roll bar bushes too.

They don't supply those separately at the dealer as you can see from the diagram, so you'll probably have to source them elsewhere like you seem to have found. It's not a common problem I've heard of - but there's always a first time.

Re: Part numbers for shocks/springs - C4 Picasso MK2
Sorry to be a pain.
Are you able to get the part numbers for;
- the foam seals that go at the bottom of the windscreen under the bonnet on the left and right side of the car to stop water going into the engine bay. They're large moulded blocks of foam. One side of mine has completely split in half from winter when it froze to the bonnet when I opened it.
- the fuel filter top (the part that unscrews and you transfer to the new filter - older models had this pre-built onto the filter, but newer Picasso's have to transfer this part to the new filter.
Thanks

If it's the foam (13) on the diagram, it's parts:
9676168780 (right) £15.70 each inc. VAT
9676168880 (left)
If it's the strainer filter (1) below, they only sell the whole thing.
9809757980 £103.99 inc. VAT

Re: Part numbers for shocks/springs - C4 Picasso MK2
Polyurethane bushes (for the roll bar) will outlast original 'rubber' ones.
Do a web search for Powerflex bushes (powerflex.co.uk). You might need the dimensions of your originals, unless the catalogue lists vehicle applications.

Re: Part numbers for shocks/springs - C4 Picasso MK2
Hello there Danlat! Sorry to bother digging up this topic. I'm Brazilian and I have a C4 Picasso MK2 THP too and I'm having the same problem with the stabilizer bar. The original bushing has dried up and is making a horrible noise. The stores here want to sell me the whole bar, but it costs an absurd amount. Did you manage to find just the bushings to make the exchange? Can you help me with this? Thanks alot!danlat1415 wrote: ↑17 Aug 2019, 11:45 Thanks.
