That Warwick team took a while to wake up Neil but when they did they were pretty good.

"The five billion pound super sewer" was a surprisingly good watch.

I sometimes watch University challenge but if I get more than three right I reckon I have done well. Mastermind is a bit easier.

Had to look it up, yes factory in Crewe, showrooms in Mayfair but owned by the Germans! part of the Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft.

I'm pretty good at quizzes until they start asking about celebrities or pop groups/rappers. :)

At the moment on Channel 4 is "Flying Across Britain with Arthur Williams". One truly incredible photograph that was just shown was of the Houses of Parliament, with the clock showing 12:45. The VERY startling fact was that it was taken by a British Electric Canberra PR9 with the 'spy nose' when it was flying over the Isle of Wight!

Ah ! But we may well be certain who did what to whom and when, but to declare that we know that would show the level of our intelligence gathering

well worth watching. Intellectual it is not, but entertaining it is.

Without spoiling any plots, suffice to say I hope that one or more of the owners of the classics cars used wasn't too fussed about getting it back in good condition.

I'm going to plug this again, because I was really impressed....

...while the whole Rallying' purpose of it has gone rather awry for reasons I won't mention if you've not watched it

It was great to hear a couple of fabulously 'Deep' bits of conversation from the equally unlikely Noel Edmonds and Tinchy Stryder, in the course of "Eight Go Rallying, Road to Saigon", Episode 2; this week.

Noel re Angkor Wat "they knew something 1,000 years ago that we've not yet discovered"....what a fabulous place that looks by the way!

and Tynchie Stryder re London "people are so happy here, in stark contrast to London; maybe having all of these material things isn't so important"

...a Rap Artist in his 20's (I guess). I'd not heard of him, but respect to that man. It gives me 'hope' that someone so young and in a role I'd not [rightly or wrongly] consider requires much in the way of Brains; can come out with something so intelligent.

Yes, I can get youtube on the TV now! with our new toy....the firestick!

So, here's been my recent diet....
"Night Mail".......in full, not just the poetry bit and Benjamin Britten's music "This is the night mail crossing the border, bringing the cheque and the postal order......etc"

"London to Edinburgh by rail 1940's"-A fascinating insight into Steam train operation and logistics featuring the A4 Pacific "Dominion of New Zealand"

and finally jumping from the pages of my new book on heavy lorries of the 50's 60's and 70's I discover

"The Fish Run" a faded and awful quality film but probably the best in existance of Charles Alexander Transport of Aberdeen and its testing of the CAV Diesel Pump on their wagons on the daily run between Aberdeen and Manchester with Fish!
Who says theres nowt on TV.............its limitless :-D

Here are the links. I do think anyone with links to fishing/transport/ or that particular part of Scotland will find "the Fish Run" fascinating and will maybe forgive the quality of the film which has survived.
