Hope somebody can help me?
Been a while, so hello first.
The mother in laws 206 needs a head gasket. ( leaking oil ) I was just wondering if you need to change the head bolts on these engines. Are they stretch type bolts?
Also what are the torque settings for the petrol 1.4 8v TU engine?
Thanks in advance.

for the cost of a set of bolts from the likes of GSF you might as well fit a new set, cant remember if they are stretch bolts or not,
torque settings for both the KFW and KFX TU engines are the same which are
20 Nm
then 240 degree's
i always spit the angel tightening in two so
120 degree's then 120 degree's
these are a very easy engine to work on and 99% of the head job can be done from above/under the bonnet, even removing/re/fitting of the cam belt

DITTO ABOVE. Always use new bolts & make sure the threads in the block are spotless.

In my experience no need to replace the bolts.
Check the head for flatness with a true straight edge and also check for pitting.
I done exactly the same job a few years ago on the same engine....the engine is still going strong with no oil leaks.
Read the thread here:

Good luck.
Cheers.
