That seems to give weight to my theory.
Did you remove the bolt at any point? If so the ball bearing that provides the seal may have gone AWOL - a regular occurrence.

If the bolt hasn't been fully removed then I would guess that there is some debris lodged in there preventing a seal. If it is hard enough it may have damaged the brass sealing surface.

I would carefully extract the bolt and have something to catch the LHM and the spring & ball.

Maybe a very quick spin of the engine on the starter to eject and muck trapped in there then the trick is to refit the ball and with a drift against it give it a whack to re-seat it - however, wait until Malcolm or Jim have the chance to see this before embarking on that possibly fatal rout.
Again it is something I have never been required to do so this is second-hand knowledge.

i removed it completely, so what you are saying that there's a ball and a spring that got lost and this's why the car won't rise?? ouch

I hope you'll find it but in case you don't you have to look for a 7 mm diameter bearing ball.
Edit: There is no spring behind it. Check PM for shop advice.

Form a scrap yard they'll most probably sell you the complete regulator set :(

No worries if you don't find, I can buy it here and post it to you

Try a bicycle shop if you don't find it. You may need to buy a pack with a couple of dozen. I doubt if it needs to be stainless. If the correct size is 7mm, then quarter inch might be worth a try.

Seriously the kind of help i get here is beyond words, VertaVega sent my the 7mm bearing ball with a diagram in a nice looking envelope :) now this's really something, i'm very grateful to all of you and to VV for the class A Offline help :)

on the other hand the car running great after new LHM and clean filters the ride is silky smooth :D and the steering seems to be alright no issues so far.
