Renault Classics

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

As you can guess from my avatar, I do like the Renault Floride...

Use this thread as a receptacle for your own favourites, and a bit of chat.

Thank you Neil, I will take you up on that offer.

Aside from the perhaps more obvious choices of Avantime and Vel, if time and storage space (not to mention money!) were of no concern, my personal Renault dream garage would also contain an R5 Gtt on uniroyal turbo wheels, R25 Monaco and a Fuego Turbo in metallic blue. Probably a couple of others I've forgotten too but there is my 'bucket list' haha

"One of your better decisions"

Sorry Dan and everyone else.....whenever R25 gets mentioned my mind goes back to Joanne and David, and I have to repost this....

Well at least it's not Hyacinth & Richard's Rover 213 lol that one really is on the 'Bucket' list! ;)

That car in the advert, in that spec though... That is the one I would like.

A couple of classics outside the Renault Brothers Factory. The well known Diamond logo didn't appear until 1925ish with the first logo being based on the initials of the Renault freres Louis, Marcel. and Ferdinand.

Car magazine does a bit of a pictoral article on the logo here http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/features/c ... -identity/

PS should you wish to get bang up to date with an "interesting" discussion of Renault's logo and branding, down to the new and corny "lens flare" on the new diamond...read it here
