2002 Scenic Digital Heater

hi,

I have a problem with the Digital controls on my heater,the fan was blowing full no matter what setting you put it on and after a while it the fan stopped working altogether,any ideas whats happened,Thanks.

Hi, sounds like a similar fault that afflicts Xantiae and a lot of other models/marques in that it's likely the fan speed controller (resistor pack) that's failed. not sure on the location or how much a replacement would be on that car but a quick google around those keywords ought to help.

Only valid advice I can really offer is to buy a quality replacement (or working used from breakers) since Ebay specials for Xant's often don't work and cheap Vaux. Zafira ones well, you know what they do right?

Thats the Gm excuse but I don't believe it's the actual reason. The wiring diagrams give a lot away in the Zafiras case, I'd hate to make an accusation but if you download the diagrams and look at the fusing arrangement well...
It's quite well documented on Vauxhall forums as well since way before watchdog stepped in.

Ah, I never knew this (although in fairness I did have my suspicions, as voiced in another thread in the last few weeks). Far be it from me or your good self to cast aspersions on Vauxhall's quality/safety though, I would imagine their lawyers are somewhat better paid than ours haha

Is it the early shape or the later shape with the electronic dash?
