Post by bill hughes »

Hi all can anyone please tell me if there is a fuse for the windscreen washer as the handbook shows nothing, if not has anyone changed the motor and is it much of a job, both the windscreen and rear wipers work but neither washer, many thanks for any help.

Renault tend to print on the inside of the fusebox cover a little picture of what each fuse is for.

If you do end up pulling the pumps out, you may find them full of congealed screenwash if you're lucky & a good rinse out of the washer bottle and clean of the pumps may sort them.

Failing that, I can't imagine them being expensive from a scrapyard and shouldn't be too hard to access. Most of the time you can reach a washer pump from behind the arch liner, just be prepared for a soaking when you remove them if the bottle is full (and if it's fresh screenwash mix, try and catch it, filter out any grot and reuse it)
