Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)

Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
Ask your Dad to check the battery and alternator for you, that hasn't changed at all. If you've a weak battery or dying alternator I'm positive that replacing it will solve your problem. If it gets trickier you will likely need canclip, make sure your auto electrician specialises in Renault and has this otherwise they will not be able to connect fully to the system and are likely to find nothing.

Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
Does anyone know how to post a pic on here
Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
Upload the picture to photo bucket. Then open the picture in photo bucket, click the "img" link and paste it into your post here.

Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
Photo bucket??
Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
Its a picture hosting site, there are others but I can't remember the names as I use photobucket. We don't have the space or facilities on the forum to actually host the images so they are linked to from an external site. They will still display in your post as if they were saved on the forum server.
Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
I forgot to mention that there is a guide here.

Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
PhotoBucket has been very slow over the past couple of days.
Most ISPs offer some photo hosting, as does Google.

Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
Hi james, car charging is 14.22 idle and 14.34 running high idle
Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
That sounds good on the alternator side, whats the battery giving with the engine off?
For the age of your car those relays and fuses don't look particularly bad, Renault don't protect them well at all. They do look like you may have reached the stage where there are connections to clean up. I don't know the systems on your car so I think maybe wait until the auto electrician has had a look.
Fuse should be F39 (15A) in the passenger side panel, Renault draw handy little pictures on the inside of the cover so double check it's the one with a picture of a steering wheel.
Is the problem happening after you've driven for a while or does it happen quite soon after starting it up.

Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
Has anyone had any dealings with renpart doncaster this is a renault breaker and garage so with them working with renault every day also having a renault computer Thinking if local auto electrian cant help then there is next stop
Re: Self steering (DANGEROUS HELP)
It's likelyto be a system fault or thermal overload then.
Definitely time for the Autoelectrician, make sure they have Canclip or you're unlikely to get good information.
Not heard of Renpart myself, one of the others may but we don't have a massive number of Renault drivers here.
