Help - I went to a relatives Megane and the battery was flat, the car had not been used for a couple of months or so, anyway after trickle charging the battery, the car started fine and drives as he remembers. BUT, the clock does not work and a few other electrical bits, do I have to reset the computer(s) or something, or is it a dealer only fix?
If things have to be reset - how?
Thanks in advance
Stu

Re: Megane Dynamic Reset?
If you haven't already you could try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes then reconnecting.
Check all of the fuses.
Check that the scuttle panel below the wipers is draining ok as the drain points at either side have a tendency to block up which causes water to get into the car and cause electrical problems.
Cheers.

Re: Megane Dynamic Reset?
Sorry Buck for not getting back sooner, the car (and in-laws) went on their travels the day I asked the question and did not return until Sunday evening. I spoke with the brother in-law and we tried the reset, no luck, he then told me the radio did not work either!. When I asked him if he has a coded radio and got a confused look, yes he does and no he does not have the pass code. He has since spoken with a Renault garage and they said they can probably fix it for a small amount >£100, so that is where is it going next when he gets it home.

Re: Megane Dynamic Reset?
You'll find a Renault radio code calculator easily enough on line, all you need is the serial number from the radio, there's even videos on you tube showing you how to do it.
Not sure about the Megane but the Laguna has one single fuse underneath the ashtray, this fuse is for the radio, clock etc.
Good luck.
Cheers.

They have gone home to the other side of the UK now, I have passed on the info, and I tried to help over the phone, but it is down to them now.
