2008 Espace 2.0dci Exhaust manifold leak?

I'm suspecting a blown manifold gasket. "Hizzzz" sound is noticeable from inside the car when accelerating.
Since the manifold is kind of hidden in the rear of the engine, I have not managed to locate the leak visually. But walking along the car while my wife drives slowly up a very steep road, I can clearly smell exhaust and the sound clearly sends to come from the rear.
And only when the engine is under significant load.

Should I count on that a new gasket is the solution? Or do the M9R-760 got any reputation for manifold cracking?
I guess I should replace the gasket anyway, but would be good to get a hint on what I should expect.

Also if any special tool is needed since I guess it's a tight job even when the fresh air filter housing is removed.

I understand, that post is very old, but my problem appeared all the same and these days.. so maybe someone has thoughts about this problem?

On my engine it was the rubber hose burnt trough in the connection between the pipe from that leads the pre dpf exhaust pressure and the sensor that reads the exhaust pressure before the filter.
