Renault diagnostics, as in Lexia for Renault

Post by elma »

Does anyone know what the Renault equivalent of Lexia is?

I have a few issues on the Scenic that need tracking down and I am struggling to find anything except for the Renault/Volvo Hgv diagnostics machine with googles help.

Try looking for the Can Clip.

Thank you, thats exactly what I was after.

Now to get my head round versions and things, this could take a while.

There is a good workshop manual floating around on CD. Mine was a couple of quid and covered about 10 model Renaults.
I used the Vel Satis section. It has test parameters and lots of trouble shooting scenarios, drawings etc. Worth it.

I was looking at buying CAN Clip not so long back, but a few people have told me not to waste the money, as it's a total pig to use.

I was advised that a chinese clone Delphi is much better and reads them really well. It is limited though, as it doesn't give much more functionality other than codes and live data. It doesn't allow you to turn on in car options (ie. speed limiter, deadlocking etc) or program parts to the ECU.

I understand that the CanClip is specific to Renault and that the Delphi is multi-brand.

Before investing and possessing a Renault, I would like to know if the Can Clip, because it is specific to the brand offers more possibilities (all diagnoses combined) than the Delphi.
find no where the Delphi ds150e, properly because it is illegal
but Renault can clip with v167 software can be found easily, i.e cheap £74

I didn't get round to buying one but my research led me to believe that the canclip was necessary for my scenic.
Main reason was to release the e handbrake to change the rear pads. I don't think the delphi can do that.
