Hi All
My 1998 Grand Espace 2.2DT cambelt has broken. The AA guy said it has def snapped, and the engine was not showing signs of compression. (By using an ignition meter test). After a second opinion, the second AA guy wrote on my breakdown report 'Major Mechanical Failure'
Is my engine most likely blown in major way? or is there any chance only the rockers are damaged? (Difference or indifference engines) As I read somewhere?
So do you think this is economically repairable? (maybe by buying a 'Short Engine')
Should I Ebay her for spares or repair?
Should I scrap her?
Should I build a giant catapult and fire her off the nearest large bridge?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Rob

Re: Grand Espace Cam Belt Disaster
There have been some that just broke the rockers = about a million to one shot but at the end of the day even if you have the skill sets required the catapult is starting to look good and a lot cheaper !
