So if the car start by pushing it with this technique isn't a good way to understand if the starter motor is faulty... It can still be the battery...

Re: Peugeot 306 1994 can't start
On a bump start the battery (although it is needed) does not need to provide much of a charge. It takes a lot of power to turn over an engine (remember, you still have the compression part of the combustion cycle to deal with), but a lot less just to provide the spark (and power the ECUs, sensors, and so on).

Re: Peugeot 306 1994 can't start
The car starts with a push, so that's a good sign.
Next try a jump-start with jumper leads from a second vehicle.
If that works ok, then the starter motor is good.
Then swap your existing battery for a new (or known good) one.
If that starts the car, it was the battery that had died.

I am not sure that the OP has actually reported that he has tried a push start, I think it was a hypothetical question.

I tried a jump -start but nothing... Now I will try with a friend's battery to be sure.. But the push start was successful...

Re: Peugeot 306 1994 can't start
Have you tested to see if the starter solenoid is getting power when the key is turned to 'start' position? Use a 12v test light and a friend if possible. If it is it should also click, like a relay. If it doesn't get power then there is a poor connection on either the +ve or earth. Does the large red lead that goes to the solenoid have power? If it does then you can 'short' that lead to the starter +ve to confirm the starter motor. I had a starter that used to stick and needed a 'short' every now and again to free it. The solenoid would click put not turn the starter.
