The car is up the road at the min and its raining very hard, can we work it out without it, and to be honest im not even sure where to find it.

Ive looked at the fuse under the bonnet next to the battery and it seems there is only one fuse and it seems ok

Ok, so you have the 1.4 HDi 3 Door, without the rain / light sensor option.

So first off, you really need to get it diagnosed with Peugeot Planet 2000 - that may provide a fault code that can point to the problem, so I would encourage this first.

It won't be a fuse as the wipers are operated through all speeds on the same fuse and you are getting them working on intermittent and slow speeds.
The relay is usually contained within the body control module and these are not generally accessible.

I would check the connector near the wiper motor - remove and clean the connector and make sure there is no crud / rust on the pins or the wires - use a bit of electrical contact cleaner if necessary.

Next try the BSI reset as below and don't skip any parts - it won't cost anything and although you say you have tried, make sure you follow it.
  • Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off.
  • Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.
  • Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait for 5 minutes.
  • Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 2 minutes (do not open doors).
  • Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.
  • Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality.
  • Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.
  • Remove key open & close door test central locking system.
  • Start the engine and complete the system's check.
Failing that the last thing I can think of is your Comms unit. This is the control unit under the steering wheel that houses all the stalks and handles the lighting and wiper requests to the BSI, along with various other functions. These can fail resulting in intermittent faults with indicators / lights etc. Some have managed to take these apart and repair the contacts - but these vary in the design and types. Also the airbag is in there and the clockspring so caution is advised and battery must be disconnected for 10 minutes before attempting any work on removal.

There is a supplier of replacement reconditioned and new Comms units here and I have linked to the part number for you.

Steering Wheel Control Module Part Number: 6239 AE or the replacement part number: 96787362

I tried resting the bsi but no luck.
I will try to find the connector near the motor, it seems hidden and very hard to get to

Could it be the motor broken, or would that not work on any speed if it is broken.

If it was the motor - then it most likely would be stopping / starting at random spots on any speed as it is under the same load while on the car during a wipe cycle and the speed shouldn't make any difference.

Took a while, but i checked all the conecters to the motor, they all look ok and clean.
Could it just be the switch stalk, rather than the whole comms unit. That would cost so much, i hopeing its something easier.

I'll have a look at the wiring in a second for you - but I really recommend you get it to somebody (possibly a member on the Forum here) with a Peugeot Planet Diagnostic. That will a) confirm if there are any fault codes, and b) allow an actuator test of the wiper motor that should determine whether the Comms 2000 unit is at fault or not.

I agree it is a bit costly replacing the Comms Unit - a second hand one may be a solution - but again you may be buying one that could fail anytime soon too.

So I'll have a look at the wiring in a bit, but whilst I'm doing that, have a look at the Lexia locations thread here - this lists members with diagnostics that are willing to help and their locations - there is a ling to a Google map at the end that shows their locations on the map. Send one of them a Private Message / Email of they have allowed this and see if you get a response. Be aware that not all the members are active all the time though....

Of course the motor itself could be shot - so testing it with the diagnostics will help.

So here is the wiring diagram for the motor.
206 Wiper Motor Wiring.PNG
500: Low speed motor command
501: High speed motor command
503: Engine fixed stop command
5265: Front windscreen wiper relay output
BM34: Engine Slave Unit 34 fuse(s)
As you can see the relay for the wiper motor is contained within the Body Control Module / Engine Fuse Box Unit (BM34). - so if the relay - then you might be looking at another fuse box module or the Motor.

So getting it diagnosed is really your best bet as you could end up replacing parts you don't need to.
