just a shout to say that I have a secondhand control box which looks the same as the one in the diagram. It came from a 4 door Mk2 106 in a scrapyard: assumed good but can't be 100% sure. Its doing nothing with other spares in my loft if you need it.

Also, in my experience, its difficult to convince key cutting retailers that you need JUST an ordinary key with no transponder; they tend to be convinced (incorrectly) that it'll be useless

....and I have had some key cutting services refuse to cut a plain metal key; but just try a couple and be insistent that a plain metal blank is fine.

I've had the key scenario myself as they said "it will never start" ;) with my 2002 106D. Once I'd convinced them I would be OK it was fine because there was no CPH / Transponder aerial / pump module anyway it was 'plain Jane' Bosch pump.

MK2 106 should fit *if* its infra-red. Later MK2 were radio (I think from about 1999 'V' plate approx)

Sidelights / parking lights = more or less the same.

Yes you will have these, the small 4w or 5w bulb in each headlight and the tail lights as well. First position on light switch.

"dim dip" you may or may not have , it was an EU thing for a few years IIRC, older and newer cars do not have it.

Thank you ! I have news about the keys. As I told you I had one remote key (one button) , one spare key (without electronics) and one papper card with key code. Yesterday I phoned to the first owner and asked her if she has any other key . Today we met and she gave me one more non remote key which works perfect but on the "ring" there is a metal card which writes the same code . Why is this happend? Also , I have to remember you that I have keypad immobilizer and on the cards there isn't immobilizer code .

The number on the ring, is it a metal 'tag' ? This is the keycode.

By this I mean the number to order a key (the metal cut part of the key) to fit the existing locks, that's all.

Its not really used that much as most places will just copy the key directly with a machine, the same way you have house door keys copied / cut.

The number on the ring is a metal tag which writes the same with the papper tag which looks like barcode.
Could every locksmith copy my key with this code or that can do it only Peugeot ?

I remember something like that keyring tag when I got my Skoda Octavia. This was the code for the shape of the key and the coding of the chip.

Is it a bit of black plastic (with a hole in to put on the keyring) and a small metal tag with just a number/letters on it ?

That is the "keycode" (to cut the keys or order to that number) its not used though for these keys as nearly everyone has a 'copier' the same as copying a house door key.

The metal 'StopLock' would be a good thought. :)

Hello, I bought a second 306 with remote control this time but unfortunately it doesn't work... The light on fob works but the car doesn't react... Is there any way to reprogram it?? Here in Greece 306s came with only one remote control.. Thanks
