Has anyone removed the carpet from a Xsara - is it a big job or are there any complications when reinstalling it?
In theory it seems just a matter of removing the seats and their sliders, centre console and possibly back seat. Any electrics/trim to be concerned about. I'm aware of the airbag electrics which I've already soldered together under the seat. The carpet around the doors seems to be simply put into place.
Do Citroen glue the carpet down or are fasteners used instead? Also do they have any insulation between the body and the carpet?
Thanks.

Re: Removing Carpet - Xsara
Its pretty much as you have said.
There is sound deadening foam under the carpet & it is not glued in place. If I remember right you may need to remove the lower B pillar trims too.
Depending on spec you may also have side impact sensors for the lateral airbags also in the inner sills.

I've just taken a look and it seems easier than I expected. The carpet appears to be in two pieces - front and back, overlapped under the seats.
