You might need to post up your VIN (which will, for security reasons, be obscured so only Moderators can read it) so that the right diagrams for YOUR car can be looked up. It is possible there are several options.

Not sure there's a lot you can do if the wipers are playing Chinese Chopsticks - there are interlinked but separate ECUs for left and right wiper motors. Both are powered by the Engine Fuse box and controlled by the BSI. Water ingress is the usual suspect necessitating a replacement.

See my posts here for info:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59504&hilit=X7+wind ... rs#p566499

But here is the wiring diagram - should be similar, but PSA servers are down at the moment for updates. This should be what you need.

5025: is the Left Wiper Motor
5030: is the Right Wiper Motor
CV00: is the relevant part of the steering wheel controls
0004: Relevant part of Instrument Panel
9018B: Body Low Speed CAN bus
9017B: Body High Speed CAN Bus
500: Low Speed Motor Command
509: Motor Control Via Relay

Hi Guys!
I am reading through this forum and having issues with my C5 mk3 (2011) with front wipers. The problem is intermittent, sometimes it works for few seconds, and afterwards it stops and no way to move :-( I already played with motor exchanges, but without any success :-( May I ask you, please, could You please share a wiring schematics/diagrams with me for my car? I become little desperate because of this... Even changing the PSF1 unit didn't help :-( I also checked the complete control stalks, cleaned the track of the brushes inside, assembled back again, but still no response. The only thing that works is spraying the windscreen, but after this there is no movement of the wipers. BSI reset also didn't help :-( I think, that knowing the proper wiring would help me much... Help me, please... Many thanks in advance! I am having C5 III X7, 1,6 HDI, 82Kw.

It's already been provided above your Post ^!

There are no other diagrams, Citroen don't provide them as they don't repair them, they replace them.

Hi,
Thank You very much for info, I just thought, that there could be more diagrams for one type of a car. I mean, because the manufacturers still develop and upgrade everything. And also because, I have seen several wiring diagrams for C5 wipers, but with 4wire terminals/connectors on the wiper motors. I have the one mentioned above with 5wires on each end of the cable loom on the motors. So thats why I asked about some updates ;-)

Not on this car, it is no longer made of course. There were no replacement parts for the wiper motors since the start to the end of production.

The only difference is there are different motors for the left and right hand drive vehicles, but this does NOT affect the wiring. They are all 5 pin connections on the X7.

Previous Model C5s (MK II Facelift) had a single motor and that was 4 pin, but all X7s have 5 pin connections on each motor.

Some of those delicate bits in the Comm 2000 gone astray I'd guess, (If the X7 still has them)

Hi Marc,

I just saw this post, any idea what is the difference for RHD and LHD motors, the reason i ask is I just bought a set in Poland, most likely LHD 8-[

Yes - both the wiper motors and the arms are different because of the left and right hand driving positions.

So the arms are also different to ensure that the field of vision for the driver is given the widest field of view / wiper clearance on the screen. The motors therefore have to provide the correct range of sweep for each of the RHD and LHD models or they will likely clash or not clear the area properly.

I'm trying to remember which car I had in the past that had a reversed sweep, i.e. it cleared more of the passenger side than the driver's side... I think it was a Renault Espace maybe? RHD was obviously an afterthought :rofl2:

Both the AX (single wiper) and Saxo (two wipers) are similarly afflicted...

They just arrived today I'm told. I wonder would I be wasting my time trying them, the part numbers are the same though on the motor sticker. Probably the wrong number to rely on.🙄

Probably, because not all the numbers are part numbers - they may be hardware or software revision numbers or other codes. Can you not confirm with the seller which vehicle the parts are from? Don't fit them if they are left hand drive parts or you will potentially damage them.
