Cheeky request

Post by Chris570 »

Does anyone have a copy of the hydractive wiring diagram for a mk1 xantia?

Also I've got a communication fault on my 2006 c3 hdi with the abs ecu... the lexia can talk to it but it seems it can't relay the information on the canbus network...... if you've got suggestions or a wiring diagram for me to check against.

Cheers gents

Xantia wiring diag - Jim's your man

Canbus comms errors are often caused by a fault in the BSM - underbonnet fuse box unit. Does it smell burnt at all? There are loads of different ones, find one with the same number on it - it's a plug and play change over. If you could find someone with the same one you could swap it over for a test....

Well I've swapped the bsm and still no joy. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the bsm to abs and engine ecu ?

I think there is a break in the harness or something like that.....

Cheers

Post up the VIN and I'll see if I can find one.

Chris

I've got an ABS wiring diag for it - PM your e-mail address and I'll send it over. Are you getting an ABS fault? It might be the EGR valve - there's a genius bit of programming that on small EGR faults causes a loss of contact with the ABS ECU rather than putting the EML on!!

Thought I'd post back here, the fault was caused by an incorrect ABS unit being supplied. It was a VAN system, which explains why the Lexia would see it but it wasn't relaying the info correctly for the other systems.

Many thanks for the help here, it helped me rule out the wiring (which I understand isn't as uncommon as we'd like!)
