It is 32-bit ... in the case of a 64-bit XP, it would be written next to the OS title

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
That's ok then, it is the 32 bit version, which eliminates some possibilities.
I assume you installed it with admin rights and that this was a clean installation of Diagbox (i.e. you're not installing this over another version / or over a previous failed installation? If so we need to clean the previous installation thoroughly before reinstalling. If you have only installed it once, did you get the software activated when you installed the version 7.01 / 7.02? When you launch Diagbox, it should say 'checking for activation ....' if it is activated the message should disappear. If not activated you will keep being asked to activate.
If the above is ok:-
There could be several other causes for the error, and in order of the least hassle, I would suggest the following:
It is possible that you have a bit of malware or a virus that is blocking certain functions. I had somebody who had a virus on their Lexia laptop that was interfering with the software and the same issue was happening. After cleaning the virus all was well. You can follow this link if you want an offlline checker from Microsoft without actually installing a virus checker onto the laptop:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/wind ... er-offline
Download the 32 bit version of the tool. It is an offline scanner that will guide you through creating the media. If you have a spare flash drive, use this. It would help if you can make sure the flash drive is virus free - ideally a desktop PC with a virus checker on to scan the USB flash drive. Follow the instructions and let it boot off the flash drive and check the laptop.
If this comes up clean then I would suggest a thorough removal of Diagbox (there is a Diagbox Cleaning Tool) that will remove the folders and the registry entries of the software. If you want some help let me know and I can do a dial in with you using Teamviewer:
https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/windows/
Just send me a PM with the code and password.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Hi Marc, thanks for all the advice. Yes I installed it with admin rights (I installed the Diabox via the video on the set up DVD sold with the Actia). Apparently windows defender can't be use 'on my operating system' ! My version of Windows is not supported by this program....GiveMeABreak wrote:That's ok then, it is the 32 bit version, which eliminates some possibilities.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
unfortunately there are less and less programmes being supported on XP now since being de-supported by Microsoft for some time. Is Windows 7 an option for you? If it's going to look like a reinstall it might be worth you considering Windows 7 at the outset. Do you have a Windows 7 32 bit Disk? If not you can download the media file easily and legitimately, you just need to buy a key for activation. You can buy one from companies scrapping their older hardware for about £10. Send me a PM if you want the details Rich.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Can someone please tell me what I have, and what version of software I need, because it doesn't work with 7.02. I simply get "NO" in Lexia for dialogue with all the ECUs.
It says 9780.Z5 on the top , and ACTIA PSA XS Evolution "made in France" on the bottom, with a long serial number of 921815B/29W07/0004526
It's Malcolm Citronut's old Lexia, so we know it worked - I have misplaced the disc that came with it, and it doesn't want to know with my newer versions of the software.
Help!

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
To answer my own question, it's one of the Lexia kits bought at the start of this thread by DickieG, Jim and more. That must mean I need a copy of V4.5 that originally came with these machines, if anyone can supply one, that would be excellent.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
So, does anyone have a set of activation instructions for Diagbox 5.02? I've searched all over the place and I'm getting nowhere at all.
I can only use up to 5.29 with my Lexia hardware.
If anyone can help me activate 5.02 - I have downloaded it from Mandrake's link earlier in this thread, and it installs fine, I just have no activation instructions at all. Google isn't proving much help, apart from sending me to dodgy sites to download small patches.
Failing that, does anyone want to buy an earlier Lexia and sort it out themselves ? :/

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Ben, from what I can tell:
DiagBox v7.02 needs Lexia 3 Interface Firmware = 4.3.0
DiagBox v7.57 needs Lexia 3 Interface Firmware = 4.3.2
DiagBox v7.58 needs Lexia 3 Interface Firmware = 4.3.2
DiagBox v7.62 needs Lexia 3 Interface Firmware = 4.3.3
DiagBox v7.66 needs Lexia 3 Interface Firmware = 4.3.3
DiagBox v7.74 needs Lexia 3 Interface Firmware = 4.3.3
DiagBox v7.76 needs Lexia 3 Interface Firmware = 4.3.3
I assume you have used the PSAVersion Checker to see what firmware / revision you have first of all?

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I've got install instructions for 5.20 from Easydiagnostics from a good few years ago. This would be for an XP install. Let me know if you want me to PM them. I've probably still got the ancient(!) discs if any use.BenC5HDi wrote:So, does anyone have a set of activation instructions for Diagbox 5.02? Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Lexia is not talking to Pug 307 ?...any thoughts
I have been asked why a 307 would throw a Anti Pollution fault after a rubber mat got stuck under the throttle.
Any comments ?
.............I have one with 7.02 installed
Code on the dongle/unit is 9780.Z5
Should I update it ?

I take it this isn't a wind up? - A few days late for April Fool!Stickyfinger wrote: I have been asked why a 307 would throw a Anti Pollution fault after a rubber mat got stuck under the throttle?
Back to the Lexia though - what year is the 307 Alasdair, and secondly what Operating system are you running Diagbox on and also is it 32 or 64 bit?
Make sure economy mode isn't active - run first test with engine running if not already tried.
If it's not playing nice, it is well-known that some kits won't talk to the 307s and may possibly need a firmware upgrade.
Do you have the PSA version Checker? If so this will tell you the Chip revision and the Firmware - if you need this prog. let me know.
Once we've established the firmware and chip versions I can guide you through updating the firmware, but we need this info first in case it goes up!
I have all the files needed for the firmware upgrade, so just let us know the above info first Alasdair.
