How did you get on with it?
I have a problem with Lexia/Diagbox unable to access pretty much all modules (sometimes injection and/or suspension ones are recognised) when I run global test. I was able to run it without problem with the same laptop, on C5 and C6. I did try to fiddle with some parameters but it asked for the code, which I didn't know it at the time so I backed out. That was probably late last year. Not sure if that has to do with anything (I doubt it).
I did have the car serviced by a real bad Citroen dealer once - would it be possible that they might have put a lock on it so lexia can't work without legit factory diagnostics tool?
By the way the car works just fine other than unable to use the lexia.

I suspect a likely cause is that your unit might of deactivated. It will do this if you access an area requiring a user login and password box and you back out.

Close Diagbox and try copying your licence file back and restart the laptop. There are no settings that Citroen can lock the Lexia tool, just don’t have a live internet connection when using it. The network adaptor should be left on and not disabled, but disconnect any connections if on Wi-fi and don’t let it auto connect or rejoin your Wi-fi whilst you are going to be using Lexia.

Thanks - I uninstalled the Lexia/Diagbox then reinstalled with the same issue - It would re-activate (or in this case, activate a newly installed application), wouldn't it?
I tried a generic fault code reader (engine only) yesterday and it communicated with the car, displaying engine parameters like IAT, rpm, vehicle speed, coolant temperature, MAP etc etc.

@ sonoramicommando: Be aware that uninstalling and reinstalling it won't work if it has been deactivated - you'll have to thoroughly clean up and remove all the files and registry entries manually. That's the reason why you really should backup your licence file after the first successful installation and activation. Then if it ever deactivates you simply copy your licence file back over again and you are back to normal - no need to muck about with uninstalling as it won't solve the deactivation issue unless completely removed. Just search for APPDIAG.SYS on this thread for instructions of location of file.

Of course if Diagbox is deactivated now - there is no point in copying the deactivated file over - this will only work on a new installation when you have the confirmation that Diagbox in activated and have 7.02 installed (in the case of DB 7.*).

If you require access to the cleaner for the registry and files send me a PM.

I think the DVD mentions something about the cleaner - I'll check first. Cheers.

If you do a global test, then go into the injection ECU, there should be an option within the sub- menus there Kenny. It is a guided procedure IIRC

Ok I think I messed up properly.
The version of diagbox cleaner came with the diagbox/lexia dvd is DBcleaner v1.0a1, says it's an early stage version and to be used at user's risk.
I cleaned it with the software, APPDIAG.sys is still in a folder (C:\AWRoot\bin\fi) and it won't uninstall giving me error messages saying it can't write config_diagbox.ini & processwork.dll in C:\temp\ folder. If I click on "ignore", it starts up the uninstaller but then tells me I have to stop Diagnostic tool first, which I am not running. There I have to cancel the uninstall and pretty much stuck there.
Any help would be appreciated - at this point I would normally reinstall Windows and start all over but since they stopped supporting XP (i.e. no XP SP3), I won't be able to run pretty much anything of use.

That simply indicates that there are running services that can’t be uninstalled until they are stopped first.

Normal order is to go to control panel, uninstall Diagbox. Then restart you PC, then run the DB cleaner.. then run the cleaner again to make sure it has removed anything it missed. Then do a visual check to make sure the relevant folders have been removed.

Restart, then you should be good to go for a reinstall. If you are still having a problem, let me know and I might be able to do a quick dial in and check for you.

Hi guys,

I ordered a Lexia from e-bay and I have the same problem with it as in the video.
Someone knows how to fix it? Or the unit is may be defective?
Thanks for help.

Unfortunately there is no Diagbox in the add/remove programmes list in the control panel.
The cleaner removed a bunch of stuff but for some reason, MUIcache still manage to come back everytime I restart the machine.
Looks like I need to manually remove all the folders - can you tell me what I need to get rid of?
Cheers

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads

Ok, that's probably because Diagbox should of been uninstalled first, using the uninstaller in the C:\program Files\Diagbox folder (Diagbox_Uninstall.exe). When that has been run, restart the PC, then run the DB cleaner programme to remove the rest of the files and clean up the registry.

If you can't see any of the following folders, then DB cleaner has done its job:
C:\APP
C:\AWROOT
C:\APPLIC
C:\OUD
C:\Program Files\Diagbox

This is not exhaustive, but will let you know if the cleaner has uninstalled it. The registry entries are done by DB Cleaner.

Yes, that's fine :-D

Remember, when you get it installed and activated - take a copy of the APPDIAG.SYS file and back it up somewhere safe:- that should save you having to reinstall the poxy program again if it goes toes up and deactivates.
