Just to update, I think you're on the right track Marc. The netbook must be lacking in either hardware or software, I've not been able yet to determine which but I'm hoping it's the latter as monitoring the resources when the fault occurs shows no spikes or other tells the hardware can't keep up, it simply refuses to proceed, waiting for something.

Taking your advice, I've since managed to install Diagbox v7.65 and both Citroen and Peugeot Dockbackup/Sedre on the not-so-portable laptop as a virtual XP box. All's working as expected so I at least have a backup option (once I find the cigarette lighter power adapter for it!).

First thing is back to basics - netbooks are not the best devices for running this - they generally don't have the resources needed to run Diagbox well.
1) What spec, CPU, RAM and Graphics card do you have?
2) What version of Diagbox do you have and how far have you got with the installation and lastly:
3) What issues are you having?

For Diagbox the CPU recommendation for Diagbox is usually 2GHz or higher - I assume this is a stand alone installation of Lexia.. Most of us here use Diagbox now, that contains Lexia embedded within, which will launch automatically if required.

No, you can't install it on a 64 Bit system Sutty, unless you have a virtual machine set up running a 32 bit version of XP or Windows 7. Lexia is a 16 Bit app and won't run under a 64 bit OS unless in a VM as mentioned.
Now I make no promises that it will work on your Netbook system, but I have the Diagbox V7 files if you want to have a go. They are quite large, but let me know via PM and I'll get you the instructions and the links.

As attested earlier Sutty, I have diagbox (currently v7.65) running on an Acer netbook with similar spec to yours. It does most of what I want without a problem, a bit slow at times but that's to be expected with any apps, even the OS itself on such a low-grade spec. The biggest problem I've found is that lexia won't graph and show recorded live data but otherwise, no isssues that I'm aware of and, as you say, the battery life is several hours.

Hello French Car Forum Members

this is a post to let you all know that the website has now been fully upgraded from html5 to html6. This allows the site to run faster but now gives us full ability to offer the discount code we promised to FCF members earlier.

Any member looking to purchase a lexia kit can simply add it to their basket, checkout and enter this code below into promo code box

FCFMEMBER15.........this will automaticallly deduct 15% from the original price.

hope this helps and sorry for the delay in getting this code to members.
