please help! Strut Tops.

Hi everyone! For years I have owned xantias I've had 12 and today has got me really worried!!! Citroen don't sell strut tops anymore!!!???? Please help me mine are gona go soon and iv spent 3000 on it...can't stop now lol!!...thanks in advance

They can be refurbish by a BRILLIANT company in Lithuania! Called KINGS .. There IS info on here about it..

However, you need a pair to send to them to refurbish them thats the only thing.

Paul, I wonder if the threads relating to strut tops on Club-XM would be better for Taffy? I'm not sure if they're viewable without being a member though... If you need to be a member then it'll be worth joining Club-XM just to read those threads as they contain all you need to know.

Reason is that until recently Xantia ones were still available at reasonable prices and most of Kingas's work was with XM strut tops which have cost stratospheric money from Citroen for some while now...

Could you get them from a breakers, and have those refurbished so you can keep your car on the road until they are returned?

Yes, I see no reason why not; just bear in mind that there's three non-interchangeable varieties: Hydractive, Non-Hydractive and V6...

Technically you could use Non-Hydractives on a Hydractive car but you'd need to drill and tap the LHM feed pipe to the larger size.

Ah guys thanks for the replys! Ur ledgends to me iv been reading ur posts for years but never joined till revently so hi all..ur knolage is gratefully appreacited and love the fact its not jus me who loves xantias!! All my mates think there s**t and fall apart lol and they do but having chose it again and again 12 times over last 11 years I would never want any other!!...thsts why iv really invested on this one but make a cock up....its lived by the sea for 8 years and now I'm seein wat its done...its an exclusive last 5 iv had were awesome car better then a lot of new cars!!....anyway I'm waffling on now lol....yea botton of mine half the brackets underneath have disapeared and top rubbers badly perished and rusted badly....creakin and hard point on steering travel...I'm havin to do 100 mile a day for work at mo and livin on borrowed time now...went to main steler for them to tell me I got even more problems lol! Think I'll go to scrapy for now iv even phoned france lol!

Ah.. is that a series two car then.. 1998 onwards! ? ive got a virtually NEW exclusive strut top in my shed.. i did have a pair but one got put on an estate vsx i was dooing up..

i can sell You the passenger one.. but you need to find a drivers one..

BUT as I do not have knowledge re Hydractive suspension, I would get somebody else to check that these are right for you car (I made a guess as your post says it is an Exclusive model). I don't know the Series version.

Its a 2.0 hdi 110 exlusive I spend most of day init as I'm a security guard and I work in it....its always been a good car for my job and quick enough to embarace others at the lights lol! Iv put hids in this one and they look stunning

Strange though for a Series 2 needing tops!

My HDi is on her originals, and on 233k they are still in good order. And I live by the sea in North Wales too! Right on the coast!
