I was also a bit confused regarding the release bearing. It seems that this version just pushes on the clutch and is not fixed to it. probably a better design than the fixed version which gave me alot of trouble on the old C5.

I used a 1/4" ratchet set for the 13mm bolt on the bracket on the back of the engine. Not too difficult to do alone.

We were just two guys for the gearbox lift and installation. And a normal highlifter. A bit awkward but doable.

My DMF died on my 2.0 hdi 163, I am currently doing research on how to remove the gearbox, does anyone know if there are different steps for this engine?
