Went to that festival a couple of years ago, though it was wonderful, missed it since due to poor publicity - so now I'm really torn.

Alasdair, I KNOW exactly what you mean but got castigated for venturing that I couldn't see what all the fuss was about after my first visit. However I have now learned to appreciate the let's all get together on the village green on weekend vibe - but still have to suspend any thought of it being the national meeting of a major manufacturer's owners/enthusiasts club.

Not sure what you're putting in the past tense - but, it does explain a lot.

The CCC National in the past tense Van.. It used to be big and good... Last ones I went to were mere pathetic shadows of their former selves :(

Hopefully this season will see a reverse in that trend...

I won't be at the National this year, Pre-planned holiday is interfering :rofl2:

I'll be at the Northern and Chevrons................ providing nothing changes, but that's my only 2 rallies this year

I share your hopes Jim, 'though I've not known anything else - which was why I expressed surprise at the way so many raved about how wonderful these rallys had been in the last couple of years.
