Shwmae o Gymro

Post by Y Cymro »

Hello from Wales
Recently bought a 2013 C5 2.0HDI Tourer automatic and loving its comfy ride and relaxed nature.
Haven't owned a Citroen or other French car for many years, but previous gems include Simca 1000 and 1204 (with two twin choke downdraught Webers!), Citroen Ami 8, and my mother owned a GS with 3 speed gearbox and centrifugal clutch.

It seems like my C5 has some idiosyncrasies that's made the brand as unique as its reputatation, and I'm looking forward to asking advice about these 'features' from the knowledgeable members of this forum.

Hwyll!
Steve

Thanks everyone for your welcomes.
It's an Exclusive which I particularly wanted for the fluid suspension. I've been half heartedly looking for around 18 months but couldn't find anything locally, so eventually bit the bullet and completed a 500mile round trip and bought it from a dealer in Manchester.
It's an auto which I think suits the car and how I want to use it. It has the Techno pack and I'm finding the all round parking sensors and rear camera very helpful. I wonder how the 18" wheels and 45 series tyres affect the ride so I may replace them with 50 series when the time comes.
I don't mind not having leather seats, though having the massaging option would have been nice. It doesn't have the sunroof or HID headlights, both of which would have been nice but not essential. I've upgraded the headlamp bulbs with Osram Nightbreakers which are noticeably better with more spread than standard.
Only one horn works so I'll have to get in touch with my local dealer to fix it under warranty!
Cheers
