I need the disabled spaces in most carparks so that I can get the door fully open to get out and in the car. If someone parks too close to my drivers door, espically if I am in the 407 with its huge doors, I cant get the door open enough. I really need to get both feet out while still on the seat then stand up straight, and when getting in stand back to the car and sit down straight then swing my legs in. Try doing that in a normal space where you have about a foot wider than the car. If I twist my back the wrong way then I can be near bedded and immobile for days.
