In Boldre, I spotted this donkey occupying a bus shelter in the sweltering heat. I can imagine a rainy day where some poor person has to get wet waiting for the bus because a donkey got their first

Love it :D And in the New Forest animals have priority over everything so the donkey had every right to occupy the bus shelter

They've put gates on some of the bus shelters around here to keep the sheep out.

Firstly, a lovely old garage premises in the wonderfully named village of Tiptoe. Sadly this is no longer a working garage and seems to accommodate some sort of small business unconnected with the automotive trade now :( Note the lovely clock :) It works and keeps good time too...

That's a great find Neil :) Is there any indication of when that was taken? Judging by next door and the car on the forecourt it was a good while back...

Today is the official end of the Cassini mission to Saturn, which started 20 years ago,

Supplier of some nice pictures to POTD OF Saturn and it's strange hexagon at the pole.

Even prompted James (hell razor) to speculate that if you got a big enough Allen key you could dismantle it :!: :)

I just had a scary thought. What if it is the incubation chamber for a giant bee? The honeycomb cells that bees use/make are hexagonal in shape.

..of course I have...off on bit of trivia...but linking from Saturn's Hexagon to Oxford's Octagon

Probably the best car badge designed by Ted Lee in the 1920's. Nicely Art-Deco, and possibly inspired in colour from the coach livery of the Great Western Railway at the time (chocolate and cream).

That's a proper MG badge Neil... Far nicer than the later incarnations in my humble opinion...

Continuing a theme of marginally coherent links here's an MG badge and the vehicle it appears on. Didn't appreciate the derivation of the well known "Morris" bit of the badge. Its an Ox, walking across a Ford.

How about this then Neil?

I particularly like this dramatic study of the New Forest :)

The quality of that is excellent Jim, can't even see the very long selfie stick in the image :-D

I guess it must have been taken with a remote control minature selfie drone.
