Its a telly spot today...the Avengers of course.....in the Tara King era Steed's car of choice was a yellow Rolls Royce.

Pics and story of the car here

A Yellow 1923 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost 40/50 H.J.Mulliner tourer (chassis number 46LK)

have to say the "Once used by Churchill to give driving lessons to Nancy Astor" claim is not universally accepted, but well repeated on the 'net! :-D

..and a real world spot. Surprising what mk I and mk II Escorts sell for now, but what about the Mark III/IV

This is a 1987, pretty basic model, in a pretty basic colour, but it looks different, and dare I say it, marginally interesting! I had a D-reg quite pokey little 1600 for a short period of time so hits the nostalgia button for me :).

I should have some somewhere.
Anyone's guess where though.

I need it up here soon as it is overheating. I suspect the thermostat or possibly it needs flushing.
The bloke who has been looking after it for her retired recently.

If I get my hands on it then new photo's will be produced.

The Kit Car! If it was an original the insurance alone would be astronomical!

Underneath its a Triumph Spitfire, and according to the owner £5,000 to put it all together. Certainly caused a bit of a stir.
This is the car it is based on a 1948 Ferrari Type 166 Spyder Corsa

So Northumberland keeps up its recent daily classic spot. Had a nice picture lined up of a New Nissan Leaf next to a shining, surprisingly tiny in comparison red MGB Roadster, but headed off to see if a red Morgan I had seen drive past had parked up. No sign so went back to get the pic.....and the MGB had gone, and the photo opportunity was missed :)

Yes a nice pair in hand is worth more than the possibility of a red Morgan in another car park!

Any other FCF Classic spotters in this beautiful sunshine or just me :?:

Very little lately actually. Today did spot a DeLorean heading the other way just a couple of miles from home.

For all their shortcomings they still look fantastic I reckon and I'd still have one if I could afford it.

More kit cars out and about in Northumberland but made the schoolboy error of not noting down registrations. Lotus/Caterham seven lookalikes in bright colours, although one was matt grey/black.

Madabout-kitcars is probably the best site for identifying them, but it is harder work than simply bagging the reg-no. :-D

Queuing for the Irish Ferries sailing from Dublin on Monday I was besieged by Saabs - mostly 9-3's (which I thought odd as I wouldn't have thought they were real marque entusiasts' model of choice). One of the owners came over to comment on the Eldorado - & heard him refer to it to another as "a lovely old Cadillac"

Even though the 2 marques have a link, I was a little surprised at the interest - & dead chuffed about the compliment.

Coming through the port saw lots of MG's heading for the StennaLine boat - I remember last year there were about 3 lanes of them.
