Quick catch up.....

Marc...You've sneaked in a whole album there with ABC! but I do like ABC.

Nice bit of DEF by Bobins....Def Leppard probably surprisingly one of the biggest selling British bands in the US.

But then you all got stuck with GHI and went on a coffee and tea binge...

Too late now but this song does have "GHI" in the lyrics, and its not the very easy Sesame Street one. Nigerian Gospel music here....its not bad either

The phrase "o gä ghi ka ihe ojö m o." is repeatedly sung in the chorus....

water under the bridge so back to thinking of a link from the wonderful "Everything stops for tea" by Jack Buchanan.

We could've had one of the soundtrack tunes from those masters of Japanese Anime - Studio Ghibli.... and here's the surprising thing, I think Steve already posted up one of those many many months ago

While she is up I will take the opportunity to sneak this in :)

Which may be a touch NSFW!

Also this that keeps disappearing:

She can be quite grim.

I could have gone on from "GHI" to "JKL" with a track from Spanish Hip Hop Artist "Bad Bunny" although you would have to listen very carefully to hear the JKL lyric as he uses very much the spanish pronunciation of "J" and it appears only once in the song! Still it would have been variety, and again it wasn't a bad track.

..but...

Back to the link just to give a solid base to move on from with the GHI reference being a parallel side track we should maybe restart with a link to the John Badlry Track Seventh son, alsough it would be a nice bit of loose end tying if Steve's most recently posted track could be somehow double dovetailed in!

Impossible I hear you cry! You are probably right! Have to have a think.

As far as LJB is concerned, who can forget The Steam Packet with Julie Driscoll.
The obvious one would be "This Wheel's On Fire",
So have this instead :)

And as for Mylene, being as the video is set in China and revolves around ruffians:

Zhao Cong and her transparent electric Pipa (she designed it) and "Ambushed From Ten Sides"

This is not her best version. A remarkable Pipa player.
Like this.

Now thats excellent 60's stuff from Julie Driscoll I'll take that as the jumping off point for the next track.

Julie Driscoll Season of the Witch......mmm...

I was needing to get in Queens of the Stone Age and their track "Feet don't fail me" as this would be very topical seeing as it was the track chosen for the TESLA Truck event reported up on the Electric Vehicles thread.

So we'll have to go through Witch Queen of New Orleans, and why not! Great track :-D

to Queens of the Stone Age-Feet Don't Fail me. Needs a couple of airings to like it, but atmospheric enough and a decent riff.

So here's my desperate attempt to make a link here:

Josh Homme - and PJ Harvey. Josh Homme is the spitting image of Todd Pipes from 'Deep Blue Something' -See Vid (another fave song of mine - Breakfast At Tiffany's):

Deep Blue Something member John Kirtland, also formed independent record label - Kirtland Records, under which they regrouped in 2014 - which amongst others has the indie band 'Toadies' on their books and from this, here is the track 'Down By The Water' with Sarah Jaffe, and to go full circle, this was written by PJ Harvey!

I seriously expect to get a Tufty badge for that! :-D

Have to say here that Quotsa/Josh Homme, Deep Blue Whatsit and Terence Trent Darby all do absolutely nothing for me.
The Sarah Jaffe cover is OK, but there is only one Polly Harvey :)
