I'll look for that but there are many of their wines highly recommended - autoshiters seem to favour them, as do ARRSErs
Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Didn't realise Lidl actually keep documentation on their specials...! Here is their page for the soldering iron including documentation:

If buying wine in Lidl, see if they have a label "Cepa Lebrel". Spanish red, with Lidl taking almost all of the production under this label. Three versions: grey label (Reserva), pink label, and cream label (Joven). The last sells here for €1.79 a bottle - I kid you not - with restaurants running it out at €9-10. Absolutely lovely, Tempranillo grape, which ought to sell at several times that price.
Just been and I did look but couldn't remember the name you gave but I'm sure they had none.
The only Tokaji they had left was the Late Harvest so stocked up on that and a bottle of a recommended Rioja - something I have never tried before.
Skipped the digital soldering station as I had Ebeneezer on my shoulder.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
I was in the local branch of Aldi this evening. They had a couple of the stove fans, so I bought one for my brother (as a birthday present). They also had a few dash cams (at half price to clear). I got one of those as well (they still have three left in the branch near to J12 of the M4). As it comes with a 32GB micro SD card, and they are normally £20 each, I figure that I got the dash cam for free.

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
I was at Lidl yesterday (hardware this week was rubbish), and while walking past the checkouts on the way out, was jolted into alertness by the head of a young checkout operator hitting my elbow with some force (no damage, but it was sore for a while). She was holding a small plastic bucket .
It seems that she scanned the bucket and tossed it into the bagging area (as they do) but being round it bounced off the end and she dived to catch it, lost her balance and caught me as well. If I hadn't been there, she would have caught a shelf or the plate glass window.

I can just picture that happening... They don't hang about do they?
There's no doubt you need to be an athlete to keep up with the checkout operators... I've turned it into a sport now
I prefer it like that... Checkouts in most supermarkets run so slowly due to the plethora of coupons, value-addeds and loyalty cards... Thank goodness Aldi and Lidl don't have such irritating things...
I'm also grateful they have none of those horrid self-service checkouts either... They never work for me
Aldi had some good hardware on Friday... Muc Off bike cleaner and cans of GT85 maintenance spray...
I stocked up

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
In Lidl last Tuesday with my usual lady passenger (who thinks Lidl is cheap ) they had a huge stock of Halloween tat but no baked beans of any brand and no frozen peas, so we had to make another stop at a proper shop on the way home.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Yes, that occasionally frustrates me... Last week our Lidl had no plain flour To a keen baker like me that was a disaster...

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Picked up this comprehensive little set of screwdriver / drill attachments for £11.99 from Lidl today - particularly like the 75mm long ones that will reach into places that short bits with extensions won't:
Also grabbed a set of drill bits for £3.99:
Lots of other tools that I couldn't really justify were on offer too including a bench grinder Simon

Re: Lidl and Aldi Car accessories
Didn't see them but I have so many drills, drill bits and screwdriver bits here I could sell them back, God knows where they all come from.
Been doing a little job for work as I never get time to do it there and they haven't the gear anyway. Had to make a tool to do the job first then find the right drills to finish it.
Just had 300 drills from China, some so small you need a magnifying glass to see them. So easy to lose
