I have some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that some intermittent speed issues that we have seen for the past few weeks seem to have been solved by a reconfiguration by our hosting provider (subject to some more testing).
The bad news is that an unrelated software change made a couple of weeks ago has had the side effect of purging most of this site's pages from the Google index (and probably other search indexes), so Google search won't currently find much on this site. The configuration has been fixed, but it will probably take several weeks for the search indexes to be rebuilt.
