Where's the New Posts icon gone to?

Post by Paul-R »

It disappeared from my pages last night sometime.

At least someone noticed...
The larger icons in the left hand column are red if there are unread posts in a topic/forum/search and will if clicked take you to the first unread post in a topic/search.
If there are no unread posts, the same icons are grey and will take you to the last post in a topic/search.

The previous behaviour was somewhat inconsistent, and on a phone screen, the little file icons were always rather hard to hit with fat fingers.

See if you can get used to it. I also prefer the simpler aesthetics without the extra icon.

I won't have any problem getting used to it as the colour change was there before. Now it is clickable as well. Simples.

Always? I'm sure I remember a time that it wasn't as it's a place I would choose to click on when looking around for something to choose.

It's been way more than a month, I've been using it ever since the red/grey changing icon appeared.

The round icon has been clickable for about 6 months (since the last major software upgrade), but only when there were unread posts. I made it always clickable a few weeks ago.

The removal of the little icon seemed to follow naturally, to simplify things a little.

It was even before that.
Ever since the red unread post indicator appeared clicking it had taken me to the first unread post.
I lived in Wales when that started so it's over 9 months ago.
I can't believe I'm the only one who noticed.
The forum software's like that though, every so often I notice a feature I had no idea about that's been right under my nose.

Probably because it's just been added/altered!
