I'll just live with it, every time I clear my cache for FCF it screws up loads of other things.

Clearing just the cache won't cause any problems - you must be clearing cookies as well. What browser do you use ?

Try CTRL-F5 for a full refresh of the page first, if you are on a PC browser. On my iPhone I just had to hit the reload button on the URL bar to get the updated colour.

You may need to delete your browser cache to see the new colour.

If feedback is positive, I may make the change permanent.
I like the change - big improvement, now the highlighted messages are very obvious.

I use safari on a mac.
I followed the instructions given previously.
Clear cookies was unticked.
Stuff I use for work all has to be set up again.

I've found all that is needed is a "forced reload" of the page.

On Safari on Mac just press CMD-SHIFT-R instead of CMD-R for a normal page reload. This forces it to load the page and all contents on the page from the server without using the local cache. No risk at all to cookies or other websites.

On Windows browsers it is CTRL-F5 instead of the normal F5.

Mine seems to be CMD-fn-r.
Sent myself a pm to test it but would you believe you don't get a notification when you pm yourself?

But you do if someone quotes you, notifications are now very red.
Much better thanks.
I don't want an answer but why when I cleared the cache for everything in my browser and also used the delete all board cookies did it get worse and then get fixed by this? It's always me these things like to happen to.
