I don't think they are Jim, mine are really good material and stitching wise and they came in the appropriate box with all the paperwork.
I'm fussy about my workwear as well, used to buy Apache but now the stitching is rubbish.
Nowadays I buy Veltuff, Scruffs, Portwest and Magnum boots.
Veltuff have realised they are good recently and doubled in price so I won't be buying them until the sales.
I'd guess these are old model or overstock as the internet seems to be clearing out these sets at the minute. They may have been unpopular with tradesmen as well because they lack tool pockets, not a bad thing in my opinion as I don't like being stabbed in the leg so use a tool belt.
I ordered 2 pairs of the 34's yesterday as well. It's saving me a lot of money as I wear out a set of kneepads every 6 months and pay about £8 a set usually.
