Well I got a call last night from my mate's garage to say that the car is ready for collection.

Hi all really struggling with this one my car turns over but will not start. If I spray easy start in after a while she will run but you have to hold high revs. I had it on Lexia and only fault code was fuel rail pressure sensor signal fault, I tested the wiring to it and plugged in sensor to see it at 0.5v with key on, changed the sensor itself...

My old EOLYS ECU failed, and I need to fit a replacement. Thanks to help from this forum, I've been able to get at the old ECU, and using a Lexia, I've been able to prove that the old ECU cannot read the fuel cap status, whereas the new ECU reads it fine.

My MK2 auto four speed.

I've owned for nine years now and with previous owners, no record of an auto box fluid change.

The cars still feels okay. It does have a low rev judder, which I've read is normal for my 2.0L petrol.

I drive 6000 per year and very few short town journeys.

Is worth my paying for a fluid change? Or just leave as is.

So, my front wipers are not working this morning, try the stalk but nothing happens, still spray screen wash on, so assume the stalk is OK. If one motor fails, would they both not do anything? the new price is astromomical, so really i want to change the broken one only. Any idea on finding where the problem is?

I'm a bit of a Citroen Fanboy and have three of them :-D and they all have some issues. Let's start with the most important one:

Citroen Xsara VTS 2.0l 1998 (pre-facelift), right-hand drive (Europe import).

The car generally runs well, but the speedo shows always 30km/h too much. So, when the engine is turned on but the car is not...

My indicator is intermittent, if you pull the bulb away from the holder it comes on, let it go and it goes off. I don't think I can get the bulb out without breaking it and I don't suppose I can get a new one as its part of the loom but if I could snip the wire leaving the bulb holder on I could just join the wires.

UPDATE: I have discovered the problem.... I am an Idiot!!!! Basically after the Global Test I left it on Built-in systems Interface rather than switching it to Engine Management ECU... so it is all back to happy again.
