Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Never been there but the retail place outside of Bexhill in east sussex has been mad recently. They are extending a bit of it but for some reason have decided to turn every parking space, of which there are I donno, 500? around by 90 degrees??? Doing it in phases and its a joke, no one has any idea where to drive etc. They have also put a bus stop...

Thanks, Darren - looks nice. We once had a '74 - was a nice car. Still had metal grille and chrome strip above rear number plate, heavy flywheel. They started bean-counting on later ones, and gradually left bits off.
That one looks a bit familiar to me - I am sure I have seen it at events. Left-hooker, as well.

Not exactly French, though, is it ? I had a couple of these and liked them but 128 saloons were quicker and stopped better. The 128 Berlinetta was a real jewel, though. Pretty and with a 1500 motor and a 5 speed box fitted I did 50,000 miles in one before moving on to Saabs.

If your ISP account was originally from a disk then just reload or get a new one. They give you the choice of loading a new or existing account. If it was an 'on line' account - I don't know! Unless it is a broadband connection ISP then your modem should detect it and your operating system should go and get the drivers, software connection etc.

Did you hear the story about the bloke that found a bomb in his back yard? He stuck his thumb over the detonator button and was afraid to remove it. The police told him to bury the bomb and his hand in a box of sand. When the bomb squad arrived four hours later, they found the bloke holding on to an old Citroen sphere!

$830 for 1.I know what i`d spend my money on!$830 buys a lot of oil & filters.
If it is so good,why dont manufactures fit it as OE?Apart from losing on servicing costs.

Surfing the net, like we do from time to time has discovered some real unheard of? productions for example
Citroen ZX is built in China with a saloon boot, not hatch called the Fukang 988 (carefull how you say that one!) and there is also the ZX cube van too.

I understand and have read all the blurb. But common sence is still telling me that to stop and then re-start the engine takes power from the battery and costs fuel at the point of starting even when hot/ warm. I did have ago in the Golf with the system and in a trffic jam like on the motor way say J9 M6 South (walsall) but around Birminghams City...

Citroen is to lease its Stop Start system in November. You stop the engine stops, then restarts when you take your foot off the brake and press the accellorator.
Sound like a re-hash of the old VW Golf Ecomatic to me.....wasn't that a success...NOT !

Visa sold about 1.25 million which does quite suprise me, must have been quite popular in France and that probably includes the c15 which you can still get and was popular as cheap etc

looking at gs-gsa.org, I found out that nearly 2.5 million were made.
I thought that to be a huge number, especially considering the number of survivors. I cannot recall if that is more or less than the BX but it is very close.
Wasn't the 2CV up around 2.9 million?

Again Renault dealer. Wife has older other shape Megan Convertible, one of the last built. She saw one of these 'road boxes' for sale on E-bay sold for £180. No but there is an old car club Anciennes pistons in the Mayenne. They may have a website where you might enquire. Some years ago the French had a deal where you were paid big bucks to scrap your old car so relatively few old cars exist over there unfortunately.

Sorry if this is considered off topic but
many of us take our cars to France. I recently received the latest generous offer from my agents: 5 day return car+2 from £161. In practice this means 3 days due to there being no good sailing times fron Portsmouth to Cherbourg. 18 months ago this was £38 and last year £58.
