I had a white Austin Westminster, kept getting stopped by the cops with "I like your car, was it one of ours?" :)

I do a bit of C3 Picasso spotting when out and about and see plenty now I'm looking for them ;)

During my run this morning I spotted this one in what I think is the very best Picasso colour ever :)

KGW Bleu Belle Ile Met (in French) my hamfisted translation would be Beautiful Island Blue Metallic!

There a bit of a coincidence there Neil, dad's 1967 half-timbered Mini Traveller was in island Blue... That was a solid colour and not too different to Bluebell's Poseidon Blue...

Maybe that's why I like blue cars... I loved that Traveller and was inconsolable when he traded it in for a bloody awful Maria in Black Tulip...

The only time I shed tears for a car, and plenty of them, was when we replaced our Ford Anglia, our first ever car with the monstrosity of a Morris Cowley in Black . It couldn’t have been more old fashioned and stodgy compared to the Anglia.

But it was a better car and much more comfortable Neil :) the garage man here in the village has one in his collection, It was the cheap version of the Oxford ( a bit like the Popular was to the Prefect) with a smaller engine.
Indian loved them as taxis, there are still quite a few on the streets over there together with the later Ambassadors, mostly upgrades with Japanese engines.

Do I assume that was a 100E Anglia rather than the 105E Neil? :)

Yes I have a black and white pic of it somewhere 100E, it was a blue green colour.

My eye was caught by this light green metallic Astra and just for fun lobbed in the blue Corsa near to it. Light green metallic has featured recently with a Scimitar, and was a colour of Polo's and Ford Escorts of the early 80's.

I always classify a colour as "interesting" if it moves me to take a picture of it! :-D

I actually quite like that green... Prefer the blue though, not necessarily on that car perhaps ;)

This is more about the colour combination than the actual colour. I painted my Lambretta SX150 in exactly this combination, using metal flake cans, and I thought it looked great! :-D
