Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Those days are gone Ryan, and On the road charging is as expensive as petrol and diesel. The chargepoint providers do not run them as a social service, and charge the max the market will bear. Most of the fast chargers on the road are around 75p/kWh. My Leaf does currently 5 miles/kWH thats 15p/mile.
Morrisons Petrol is about £1.53 per litre 10 miles/litre=45mpg =15.3p/mile

Renault Zoe's are fairly commonplace, but a Red one is a bit of a rarity, most I see are White or Blue with the occasional Aubergine!

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Like I said, electrics will/have crashed. It might be better for the environment but big commerce won't allow it. Money is money and either electric companies will profit or the oil giants will profit, either way oil wins. It's a shame that electric won't win but I feel hybrid will win as best of both worlds

We already pay Ryan, for about a year Tesco and some other supermarkets let us charge for free but that all ended, it's still cheaper to charge there than at some other sites but not as cheap as home charging.
As for you EVs will fail comment I think maybe your head's too deep in the sand to see what's really happening.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
In Monmouth on Monday there seemed to be an abundance of EVs, Merc Hyundai Mg etc. but what surprised me was an electric BMW Mini Cooper S, didn't know they made one of those.

The usual load of Teslas, Leafs and so on and a spectacularly ugly SEAT. Hands full so no photo.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
The corsa-e is probably the most inconspicuous EV currently available, even in this Alston Signal Box sign Orange.
Just looks like a normal car. No SUV Boxy pretentions, and over the top lighting and grill designs.
I get the impression that the MG ZS EV has bulked up a bit from its earlier incarnations. Neil

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Can't answer that yet, but Citroen have emailed me with a new vehicle due to be revealed in a few days with a live stream of the reveal.Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
My guess is it's going to be an electric version of the C3 Aircross from the looks of the silhouette if that is representative! So my money's on something like the C3e Aircross at a guess. Are you ready to say yes?
Electric shouldn't mean expensive. Let's say yes to electric mobility that's affordable for everyone.
Electric should make no compromise. Let’s say yes to state-of-the-art design, best-in-class comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
Let’s say yes to electric mobility for all.
100% Electric. Compact. Affordable.
Save the date: Grand reveal, October 17th at 12pm noon.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
If it is the plain e-C3, you can get one out of the showroom in India for an average ex-showroom price of Rs. 11.5 Lakh (1,150,000 Rupees) which is roughly £11,375 GBP. Highly unlikely the UK price will be anywhere near thatGiveMeABreak wrote: ↑13 Oct 2023, 15:34Can't answer that yet, but Citroen have emailed me with a new vehicle due to be revealed in a few days with a live stream of the reveal.Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
I would regard that as being a new colour to spot for that model, and it would have definitely have grabbed my attention and like you I would have photographed it for the thread, where I rarely photograph a Tesla now and bring it into the body of the thread seeing as they are so common.
A Tesla needs something extra like a Red T or an interesting fence shadow to get a shutter click from me now

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
This Audi e-tron passed the threshold for a shutter click. The grey Nissan Ariya nearby didn't.
