H&H at Duxford have one of these for sale. Limited interest granted £9,000-£11,000 guide price. Sedate open toppage. Nice bit of history on the car maker in the auction particulars, for those with an interest in the name :-D

I doubt if this will remain in the limit for this thread but, out of curiosity, does anyone else find something here that is just not right? :-D

The Jag number plate looks wrong.
One of my mates had a 420G parked in his drive for years that his son had bought as a fixer upper and abandoned, I got it running and sold it on for him to another 'enthusiast', every couple of miles it had to have the fuel pumps and carbs cleaned out because the rust from the fuel tank kept coming through. :(

I like the
Spoiler: show
ten year
MOT on the modern Jag, nearly as good as "exempt" :)

Is the 420G picture narrowed slightly, it looks a bit squashed/tall somehow??

(Made it a spoiler so as not to ruin the fun)

I 'm not sure if it is a tad squashed but the thing that doesn't seem right to me is wire wheels on that model? :)

Pretty sure they had wire wheels Mick, if not as standard certainly as an option.

Here's a full original colour brochure from 1969 for the Jaguar 420G, interesting in its own right. The very small print reveals the wheels and tyres standard spec.

One of my lady customers had a Volcane, drove it like a lunatic :) after about three years she left it at the side of the road with a drive shaft ripped out and it got towed by the cops, she didn't bother to recover it.
